A charity concert in the US brought together two unusual duet partners - former US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice and Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin.
The pair performed before a 8,000-strong audience at the Mann Music Centre in Philadelphia to raise funds for urban children and in support of music and the arts.
A classically trained pianist, Rice played Mozart's Piano Concerto in D Minor with the Philadelphia Orchestra. She also joined Franklin in singing hits including I Say A Little Prayer and My Country 'Tis of Thee.
Ahead of the start of the orchestra's three-hour concert, Franklin the partnership was a "joint effort for the inner-city youth of Philadelphia and Detroit".
She added: "We decided to give it a try. So here we are, in the city of Brotherly - and Sisterly - Love."
The soul star performed some of her biggest hits and arias from the world of opera and classical music, including songs from her forthcoming album A Woman Falling Out of Love.
