Thousands brave Nettle Warrior
26 Jul 10
Over 2,500 competitors from around the world took part in this year’s Nettle Warrior event - considered to be Britain’s toughest assault course.
The eight-mile course saw people from different parts of the world, including Nepal, California, Belgium, Germany and Azerbaijan, battling through muddy water and 7ft-high nettles.
The annual event at Perton, near Wolverhampton, and its sister contest Tough Guy give people an opportunity to confront their fears by pushing themselves to the limit, according to the event organiser Billy Wilson.
Mr Wilson said: "It's not a race, it's an event - it's for people to come and challenge the Tough Guy course. Everybody here is a winner."
The Tough Guy, which will be held on the last Sunday in January, is considered to be the toughest and most dangerous taste of mental and physical pain, fear and endurance.
