Love Never Dies, with 31-year-old Ramin Karimloo continuing the Phantom act, has been in the making for almost two decades.
Sierra Boggess plays the Phantom's lady love, Christie.
In the new production, the Phantom has moved from the Paris Opera House to the fairgrounds of New York's Coney Island as the love saga continues.
Lord Lloyd-Webber said: "It is the love story that is the essence of the piece. I tried to develop that story as much as I can."
