World’s oldest woman reaches 115

The world’s oldest person has celebrated her 115th birthday and said her longevity is down to “not smoking, drinking or fooling around”.
Gertrude Baines celebrated the significant milestone with a party at her Los Angeles residential home and also received a letter from US president Barack Obama.
Ms Baines, who was born in 1894 in Shellman, Georgia, said little during the celebration as friends sang to her and she received a proclamation from Guinness World Records acknowledging her as the world's oldest person.
Her doctor said that despite her incredible age, she still only had two complaints – arthritis in her knees and the bacon not being crispy enough.
Ms Baines' father, born two years before the Civil War in 1863, was likely a slave and Ms Baines has outlived her entire family. Her only daughter died of typhoid fever when she was a toddler.
Featured on local television newscasts in November when she cast her ballot for Barack Obama for president, Ms Baines said she backed him "because he's for the coloured". She said she never thought she would live to see a black man become president.
